Weerasinghe is a Sri Lankan born photographer he is currently based japan as
mainly cover news assignments for Getty Images.
His career was
begin at an alternative small newspaper in Colombo at 1990.
Since 1990, he has worked as a permanent staff
photographer attached to three different mainstream newspapers in Sri Lanka.
In 2000, started to cover Sri Lankan conflict as
freelancer.
In year 2006, joined the Reuters news agency
as covered news and sport events in Sri Lanka.
In year 2010, move to Japan, started to shoot
day life of Japanese culture as freelancer.
In year 2011, jointed Getty Images as contracted
photographer in Japan.
